I have the greatest wife, Carolyn, three terrific grown children, and three fantastic grandchildren. Carolyn has been my counselor, cajoler when needed, soother, smoother, lover, nurse. In other words, she has been my best friend for 45 years. It was my oldest child, Rachel, who convinced me to volunteer at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) 30 years ago and it was my granddaughter, Julia, now 18 who pushed me back into dinosaurs. What a fun journey.

I have taught classes both in Biology and in Tax and Accounting. The classes in Biology were with Portland State University and New Mexico State University. The tax and accounting have been with various organizations such as the Beaverton Chamber of Commerce, the Oregon Society of CPAs, Federal Tax Workshops. I have even taught Seminarians at Mt. Angel Seminary about business / church / not-for-profit fraud and personal accounting.

Currently I volunteer with the Beaverton Chamber of Commerce, and OMSI and previously with Seniors First and Our Children Store. With the not-for-profits, I have utilized my tax and accounting talents. However, at OMSI, I am back into Biology, specifically in the dinosaur arena (I consider OMSI to be a hobby as well as a great place to volunteer).
